Dodo SBS Limited respects your right to control your personal and business data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how to request the deletion of your data, what will be deleted, what we are required to retain, and how long the process takes.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and business account from the Meku Business Service at any time. This right applies whether you access Meku via the Android app, the web application at merchant.meku.co.tz, or both.
You may submit a data deletion request through any of the following methods:
Go to Settings โ Support โ Delete My Account within the Meku Business app or web portal. You will be asked to confirm the deletion with your account password.
Send an email to support@meku.co.tz with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include the email address and phone number associated with your account. We will verify your identity before proceeding.
We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification.
Upon a confirmed deletion request, we will permanently delete:
Certain records may be retained even after an account deletion request, where required by Tanzanian law or legitimate business necessity:
Retained records are stored securely, are not used for any commercial purpose, and are deleted as soon as the retention period expires or the legal obligation is satisfied.
Deletion of your account is permanent and irreversible. Once your data is deleted:
We strongly recommend exporting your data before submitting a deletion request. You can export your transaction history and product catalogue from Settings โ Export Data.
Deletion of your Meku account does not automatically remove data held by third-party providers we use (such as Selcom for payment processing). You may need to contact those providers separately to request deletion of data they hold about you. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a list of third-party processors.
